Duties
The Warehouse Team Leader leads a team of 9 Warehouse Workers in the General Services Office (GSO) Property and Supply section at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan and acts as a deputy to the Warehouse Supervisor. Primary responsibilities of the position include leading the Warehouse team in the safe handling, moving, and storage of household and non-expendable supplies to and from Embassy warehouses to different locations throughout Amman.
The incumbent is responsible for deliveries of residential furniture, appliances, and office supplies. Assists in all duties related to the warehousing and disposal of U.S. government property. Authorized to operate warehouse machinery and equipment, vehicles, and forklift, as required.
The Warehouse Team Leader serves as a Team Leader and is responsible for giving instructions to the Warehouse Workers ensuring the proper completion of work orders in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience in warehouse work is required, including work involving the safe lifting, storing, and movement of related goods.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and how to move heavy objects efficiently. Must know the proper use of a pallet jack, know how to load a truck or warehouse space in a safe manner/position, and how to pack objects on top of each other using the most efficient and safe method for lifting and fitting objects in the smallest area possible.
Education Requirements:
Completion of Primary School is required.
