About the job
The Facility Management Engineer oversees managing and implementing designs of required projects pertaining to renovation, redecoration and redesign of Royal Jordanian whilst maintaining continuous improvement and development, keeping up-to-date with the most appropriate designs thus reflecting a positive image of Royal Jordanian Airlines, the position holder is also responsible of the periodic maintenance of RJ facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assign and schedule work tasks with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment and perform initial evaluations of building systems and distribute work assignments.
Coordinate and follow up on preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, and any other mechanical systems.
Coordinate and assist in installation and repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
Review and maintain maintenance logs and maintenance budgets and complete any and all documentation necessary to the completion of a task.
Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required;
Read, interpret and understand sketches, diagrams and blueprints.
Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
process all type of Buying related activities (pre-qualification; RFI, RFP…etc.).
Perform all the needed studies to analyze offers & recommend awarding decision.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Experience in project management.
Advanced skills with ACAD and Visio, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Explorer).
Strong analytical skills and proven organizational ability and attention to detail is a must.
Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and deadline-focused.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management
