You will be responsible for:
Coordinating and implementing humanitarian, environmental, and development aid projects in Jordan, particularly focusing on meeting the needs of refugee populations and host communities. This includes transitioning from emergency relief efforts to long-term livelihood programming, ensuring access to basic services for all affected populations.
Managing and coordinating refugee camps in Za’atari, Azraq, and Mafraq, as well as supporting informal tented settlements, to provide essential services such as food, water, hygiene, and sanitation facilities.
Collaborating with local municipalities and community organizations to enhance their capacity and promote sustainable solutions for addressing the challenges faced by refugees and host communities.
Contributing to Acted's "3ZERO" vision of Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, and Zero Poverty by developing and implementing relevant initiatives aligned with this mandate.
Utilizing in-depth knowledge of local contexts and partnerships with both local and international organizations to design and execute effective, context-specific interventions.
Overall, you will play a crucial role in Acted's mission to save lives and promote sustainable development in Jordan, ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to essential services and opportunities for long-term resilience and prosperity.
The Project Development Volunteer (PDV) ensures proper grant management by developing qualitative project progress reports in compliance with donors’ rules. The PDV facilitates smooth internal communication and coordination with relevant departments and contributes to Acted external communication strategy. The PDV contributes to fundraising efforts by participating in the development of project proposals in line with Acted’s global and in-country programme strategy.

Expected skills and qualifications
Master Level education in a relevant field such as International Relations, Development or Political Science;
Previous related work experience, with knowledge of proposal writing and reporting;
Familiarity with the project cycle;
Excellent writing and communication skills;
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to manage multiple tasks;
Good team spirit and ability to work with diverse profiles.
