About the Job:
As an Aircraft Mechanic at Royal Jordanian Airlines, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations. You will assist in maintenance tasks following maintenance data and work under the supervision of certifying staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Certifying Staff: Support in performing maintenance tasks to meet required standards.
- Report Defects: Notify certifying staff of any defects identified on the aircraft.
- Perform Maintenance Checks: Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks under supervision.
- Carry Out Maintenance Tasks: Execute tasks to specified standards while supervised.
- Notify Supervisors: Report defects or mistakes that need correction.
- Aircraft Towing and Pushback: Handle aircraft movement and ground-to-cockpit communication.
- Replenish and Service Aircraft: Manage fueling, hydraulic fluids, oil, and other servicing tasks.
- Handle Aircraft at Arrival/Departure: Manage arrival and departure operations, including ground communication and safety checks.
- Adhere to Safety Precautions: Follow safety policies as per manufacturer and company standards.
- Use Proper Tools: Utilize the correct tools during maintenance and keep them in good condition.
- Tool Control: Ensure tools are managed and serviceable during maintenance.
- Draw and Return Tools/Materials: Handle materials from technical stores and report any damage.
- Dispose of Expendable Items: Properly dispose of items according to health and safety regulations.
- Comprehend Tasks: Fully understand tasks before commencing work.
- Safety Gear: Wear appropriate safety gear during maintenance tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Licensing: A CARC or EASA license (B1/B2) is a plus.
- Education: Diploma in Airframe & Powerplant, Bachelor of Engineering, or related field.
